Rain plays spoilsport as Kings-Multan clash is abandoned
Sharjah March 2: Light but persistent rain played spoil sport as a fullhouse at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium couldn’t see a single ball bowled in the 10th match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans.
Kings’ captain Imad Wasim won the toss and opted to bat first as Karachi decided to rest star all-rounder Shahid Afridi who was carrying a niggle in the back of his knee.
The match didn’t start as light but persistent rain hit Sharjah.
The match we eventually called off due to a wet outfield and both teams were given a point each.
Kings remain at the top of the rankings as they now have seven points after four games, Sultans have five points from four games and are occupying the second spot.
