Lahore, 20 January 2016: Australian express bowler Shaun Tait has reached an agreement with Peshawar Zalmi to play in the first season of the HBL Pakistan Super League.

Fresh from a successful Big Bash campaign where Tait bowled with extreme pace for the Hobart Hurricanes, the agreement with Peshawar Zalmi caps off a great week for Tait. Earlier, he was also included in the Australian T20 squad for the upcoming home series against India with a possibility of playing the ICC World T20 in India.

In a short yet effective career, Tait has played 3 Tests, 35 ODIs and 19 T20Is for Australia. He has also represented Australia in two World Cups and one ICC World T20 campaign.

Tait’s agreement with Peshawar Zalmi comes after England seamer Chris Jordan was called into the England squad for the tour of South Africa. Jordan’s replacement at the time, Liam Plunkett’s availability was short-lived, as he was called up to the English squad to replace the injured Steven Finn.

The first season of the HBL PSL starts on 4th February 2016 in Dubai. Tickets can be bought online from www.kyazoonga.ae/psl or through retail branches in the UAE including AJ Sports, Delhi Nihari, Karachi Darbar, Al Fardan Exchange, BBQ Delight, Tandoori Junction, Kulcha King, Sindh Punjab and TCS.
